The conference was attended by Ms. Doaa Salima, CEO of the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC); Mr. Manuel Balz, Senior Vice President of the Partnership Program representing the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action; Mr. Jörg Schreiber, Senior Program Manager at the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ); and Ms. Amal Ghazal, Head of the Alumni Association of the Business Partnership Program with the Federal Republic of Germany.
During the conference, the program’s alumni association in Egypt, with support from the IMC’s Training and Capacity Building Unit, organized a panel discussion with several alumni who have established successful partnerships with the German market. The alumni shared their key experiences with the German market and presented examples of their success stories in concluding commercial contracts between Egyptian and German institutions.
The alumni expressed their gratitude to the IMC and the German side for implementing this program, which strengthens the partnership between the two countries and opens new avenues for exporting Egyptian products to one of the most important markets in the European Union.
The alumni were also divided into three discussion groups to discuss topics of the circular economy and sustainability, family business challenges, and marketing mechanisms. The alumni engaged in fruitful discussions, and the results of these discussions were presented to representatives of the German and Egyptian delegations present.
It is worth mentioning that the Business Partnership Program with Germany lasts for four weeks, including one week of training in Cairo and three weeks of practical application in Germany. This contributes to introducing Egyptian managers to the latest business management methods and promoting business culture, including bilateral meetings between Egyptian and German managers and visits to major international exhibitions
